Installing New Hood Struts To Replace Factor Prop Rod

I open and close the hood on my Land Cruiser pretty often, especially when filming videos or showing things on camera, so this turned out to be one of those subtle mods that actually makes everyday use a lot easier. I am also only 5'5", so anything that makes the hood easier and smoother to handle is a big plus for me. It is not a flashy modification by any means, but it really does make the whole experience feel more convenient and refined every time I open it. Instead of dealing with the prop rod, the hood opens in a much cleaner and simpler way, and it is one of those upgrades that does not seem like a huge deal until you have it and start noticing the difference all the time. The install was smooth from start to finish with no issues, and the kit I used did not require any drilling, which made it even better.

Dude it's crazy that Toyota didn't include struts in a truck this new and expensive. Big miss that's easy to fix. Maybe they add it down the road...
