Retro Heritage Stripe Livery on 250 Series Land Cruiser

So I am looking to put on some new shoes but I am concerned that I will be limited by the size options at the spare location. What is the largest tire I can reasonably fit in the spare location? It appears to be 285/70R17, but I would be interested in seeing what others have gotten to work.

What do you guys think of this retro-style decal set on the 250 series land cruiser? Pretty simple stripes down the side and then a subtle heritage decal set out back on the lift gate. Super clean. Really like how they made the red a bit more brown. This livery set would nice on just about any cruiser out there.
