What is the Largest Tire Size that would fit in the spare

So I am looking to put on some new shoes but I am concerned that I will be limited by the size options at the spare location. What is the largest tire I can reasonably fit in the spare location? It appears to be 285/70R17, but I would be interested in seeing what others have gotten to work.

If you're doing 17" wheels, that's the biggest confirmed fit in the spare location. If 18", 285/65R18 has essentially the same footprint. If you plan to offroad, a larger-than-OEM spare may affect your departure angle slightly but it doesn't lower your overall clearance when sitting flat.
