Earlier this year I trimmed about 1.5-2" off my fenders. I removed the flares and tabs. Then used an angle grinder to follow the body lines and hack it up. (This was my first time ever chopping fenders myself). It doesn't necessarily look the best but with some trim it helped distract from the few places I slipped and removed paint.

This was a somewhat brutal process, it took time and I definitely recommend ear protection as it's very loud.

I did also end up accidentally cutting part of the mount that attaches the fenders to the bumper. So I'm curious if that will lead to any stability issues down the road. I may be able to weld it back together.

Happy with the way it looks overall and it stopped 98% of the rubbing I had with 35" tires and Long Travel. It does still slightly rub when at full bump going upwards.

Hopefully someone will make fenders for us eventually. Until then this is what I had to resort to. If you have any questions let me know!
