I'm starting this thread to get feedback from people on their transmissions. And what stories you have of getting the overheat warning.

So far I've only gotten it once. And that was when I climbed a 28 degree rocky hill in Oregon while trying top stay in AWD and not switching to 4L 😂

I haven't had it happen again since (haven't really driven it much to have a chance to keep testing)

But a fellow LC250 owner I know said his will often give the overheat warning even just driving up a steeper hill on the interstate. Granted he has a heavy front bumper, big rooftop tent & 34's. But I still thought it was unusual. I don't have a front bumper or a heavy tent but I have 35's and have never had an issue on pavement with it overheating.

If your LC250 has gotten the overheat warning please share what scenario and what your setup is like.

And on a side note has anyone found a good scan gauge to see the actual temperature and not just the generic line? I would love to find something that displays actual temperatures of the trans & engine etc...

Here's a somewhat decent pic of the incline I was on when it overheated
