While working on the LC250 I noticed something about the hitch that differs from my 5th Gen 4Runner. The LC250 has a welded hitch from the factory. VS the 4Runner has a bolt in hitch. The 4Runner's was easily removable to touch up with paint when it gets rusty or also remove to add/weld high clearance options. But now with the LC250 if anyone ever releases a high clearance hitch you'll need to cut the hitch off before you can weld it higher. Whereas the 4Runner can be unbolted in 5 mins before being cut and welded again higher up.

I'm assuming the weld on the 250 hitch is to support a heavier load? Maybe it's just the way the frame works on these new models. Anyone know the answer? Hopefully we can start seeing some high clearance hitch options for the 250 platform similar to what Dissent Offroad has for the 4Runner.
