Engine aftermarket air filter or OEM.

Been thinking if i should get a simple $79 K&N dry air filter to drop in the OEM box or a $450 AFE full intake kit,… I've heard that by getting a better turbo sound, slightly better performance, you also risk getting your engine more contaminated with the small particles that go in through the bigger holes those aftermarket filters have.

Should i just keep my OEM filter and box?
I do hit the trails often, and if you are familiar with being at the end of the line, you know how dusty it gets hah.
