While exploring the Vehicle settings on the headunit in the Climate section I found this smart setting that only pushed air to the occupied front seats. It detects if there's someone in the driver and/or passenger seats (probably the same sensor that deploys the airbags) and pushes heat or AC to that seat. If only the driver is present it will only push airflow to them. But if driver and passenger are in their seats it opens all vents and pushes airflow to both. Pretty cool feature if you ask me.
