At 8Runner Off-Road in Portland, OR, we recently worked on upgrading a 2024+ Toyota Land Cruiser with a killer set of modifications designed to enhance both its on-road comfort and off-road capability. Here’s what we installed and the benefits of each upgrade.

Westcott Designs Preload Collar Lift

One of the first upgrades was the Westcott Designs Preload Collar Lift, a suspension mod that provides increased ground clearance without sacrificing the factory ride quality. This lift works by preloading the factory suspension, eliminating the need for extensive modifications while still achieving a more aggressive stance.

Benefits:
  • Retains factory shocks and suspension geometry for OEM-like ride quality
  • Increases ground clearance for improved off-road capability
  • Provides a leveled stance for a more balanced look

Toyo Open Country R/T Trail 35” Tires on fifteen52 Analog Wheels

Next, we mounted a set of 35x12.5R17 Toyo Open Country R/T Trail tires onto a set of fifteen52 Analog 17x8 wheels with a +25mm offset. This combination provides an aggressive yet functional setup, ensuring excellent performance on any terrain.

Final Thoughts

With the Westcott Designs Preload Collar Lift installed and a fresh set of wheels and tires, this Land Cruiser is now better equipped for adventure. Whether tackling rocky trails, muddy paths, or daily commutes, these upgrades provide the perfect balance of performance and reliability.
