Now that we’ve seen both the new Land Cruiser and the Lexus GX 550, I know a few of us cross-shopped them.
GX gets the 3.4L twin-turbo V6 with more power (349 hp), optional third-row, and more luxury — but also a steeper price. Meanwhile, the Land Cruiser gives off retro/off-road vibes with the hybrid powertrain and slightly smaller footprint.
Which one did you go with, and why? If you went with the Land Cruiser, do you miss the GX’s extra punch or amenities? If you picked the GX, do you miss the classic LC feel?
